Kids step into a virtual world of their own creation through Unity, AI and Motion Capture!
This 1-week class is crafted for kids who are tech enthusiasts who want to code and create, working with AI, Unity and motion capture. Budding game designers and developers aged 12 to 17 who have a spark of curiosity and a desire to create immersive experiences. By blending traditional instruction with experiential technology, students actively engage in simulations and hands-on activities that deepen understanding and retention. Over the course of the week, they will learn how to navigate the Unity engine, choose 3D environments, create content with AI and transform their ideas into interactive worlds—all while having fun and making new friends.

What Edge Edu Kids Will Learn:
- Unity Basics: Kids discover how to move around the Unity workspace, import assets, and set up your project. No experience is necessary—our friendly instructors are here to help you every step of the way.
- VR Fundamentals: Get hands-on with virtual reality concepts by exploring and learning how to make a game feel truly immersive.
- Learn Motion Capture & Animation: Students will explore how body movements are translated into digital performances and how this data powers games simulations and immersive storytelling. Through project-based learning, students will import characters, record performances using mocap suits and build interactive VR scenes.
- AI Content: Students learn how AI prompts can be used to create voices, videos and other pieces of content.
- Game Design & Coding: Kids dive into the basics of coding with Unity. Learning simple scripting techniques to bring game characters and environments to life, and experimenting with interactive elements that make a VR game unique.
- Game Break Fun!: Enjoy VR game time between creative sessions.
- Final Showcase: At the end of the week, kids get the chance to present their VR game to peers, inspiring confidence and a sense of achievement.
This class is designed to spark kids’ interest in tools for content creation, game design and development. They spend a week having fun with a community of like-minded young creators and turning ideas into a digital reality.
